About The O'Brien House:

 

O’Brien House was established in 1971 to serve adult recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. The center was named for Paul S. “Pat” O’Brien, who spent 53 years of his life working with alcoholics and educating the public about the disease of alcoholism. Through the years, O’Brien House has drawn the appreciation and support of the Baton Rouge community.

Over the past 40 years, the services of O’Brien House have evolved into a more comprehensive continuum of care that includes treatment, prevention and community development initiatives. Services include the following:

  • 60 Residential Treatment Beds and 10 Inpatient Treatment Beds
  • Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Programs
  • Adult Substance Education Program (ASEP), a component of District Attorney’s DWI Diversion Program
  • Parenting Classes
  • Grief Counseling
  • Spiritual Support
  • Recreational Therapy
  • HIV/STD Testing
  • Prevention Classes
  • Educational Services
  • Social Enterprises
  • O’Brien House hosts two Amricorps Delta Service Corps members who are responsible for providing health education and outreach programs for children and youth at risk for addiction and/or unhealthy lifestyles.

With these support services, their clients can stabilize their lives, focus on recovery and prepare for a new life after they leave O'Brien House.

The Alcoholism Council strives to be Greater Cincinnati's leading advocate and resource on alcoholism and other drug abuse; and to promote effective solutions to these and other related problems.

As a direct outgrowth of this mission, their goals are to: decrease the incidence of alcoholism and other drug dependence; eliminate the stigma associated with alcoholism and other drug dependence; provide services and support to those effected by alcoholism and other drug dependence; raise community awareness of the risks associated with the use and/or abuse of alcohol and other drugs; promote public policy that supports effective solutions to problems related to alcohol and other drug use/abuse; and to raise awareness as their role in the community.

About The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse of Sullivan County

The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse of Sullivan County, Inc. was organized in 1977 to provide information, education and consultation to Sullivan County residents whose lives were affected by the problems of alcoholism and other drug addiction. In response to the need for a continuum of effective treatment services, in 1985 the Council began operating the Recovery Center. Services included a 16-bed Primary Care Unit, a 30-bed Halfway House and a Day Rehabilitation Program.

First Call provides clinical, educational and prevention services to individuals and families in the Greater Kansas City area impacted by alcohol and drug addiction.

About the Council of Southeast Pennsylvania

 

 

The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania, Inc. (The Council) is a private non-profit prevention, education, advocacy, assessment, intervention, and recovery support organization, serving the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery & Philadelphia. The Council provides a wide range of services to reduce the impact of addiction and improve related health issues for the entire community including families, schools, businesses, individuals and the community, regardless of ability to pay, ethnicity, race, gender, age or sexual orientation. The Council, founded in 1975, is a member of a nationwide affiliate network of The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence.
