PROPOSED FY 1998 FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FROM SAMHSA (3/23/98)

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has announced that Grant Funding Applications (GFA) will be made available periodically this year.

BACKGROUND
SAMHSA and its three centers: Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP), Center for Substance Treatment (CSAT) and Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) have announced discretionary grant activity for FY 1998. SAMHSA anticipates a broad array of grant activity this fiscal year that is designed to advance its goal of improving quality in the areas of substance abuse and mental health services prevention and treatment.
