NATIONAL YOUTH ANTI-DRUG MEDIA CAMPAIGN (6/15/99)

As you know, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Treasury, Postal Service and General Government has voted to authorize the Office of National Drug Control Policy to include underage drinking messages in the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign.

The full Appropriations Committee has postponed consideration of the issue because of debate on other issues such as gun control. It is unclear when the vote on the Media Campaign will take place.
