NATIONAL YOUTH ANTI-DRUG MEDIA CAMPAIGN (6/29/99)

House Appropriations Committee Vote Expected July 1st

The full House Appropriations Committee has scheduled a mark-up of the bill containing the Office Of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) budget, which includes the Wolf/Roybal-Allard amendment authorizing ONDCP to include underage drinking prevention messages in the anti-drug media campaign. The Committee is scheduled to meet Thursday, July 1st at 9:30 am, and a vote on this amendment is expected. It is urgent that all members of the Appropriations committee hear from us (see list below).

WHAT YOU CAN DO
Urge members to support the existing Wolf/Roybal-Allard amendment authorizing ONDCP to include underage drinking prevention messages in the youth anti-drug media campaign.
