NCADD Advocacy
NCADD Public Policy Office
publicpolicy@ncadd.org
In 1970, the passage of the Hughes Act, which established the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, provided the inspiration for the NCADD board to open an office in Washington, DC. The internet and email have enabled NCADD to reach more constituents than ever before. These constituents include people in recovery, people affected by a loved one's alcoholism, counselors, doctors and other people working in the addiction field, all who have joined NCADD's fight against the stigma and the disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions. These people are you.
