The Rhode Island Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependence (RICAODD) offers a statewide, 24-hour toll-free helpline staffed with trained volunteers. In addition, RICAODD operates nine recovery houses in Cranston, Pawtucket and Portsmouth. RICAODD is involved in the recovery community through its participation in events in Rhode Island throughout the year. RICAODD works with treatment organizations statewide to provide outstanding recovery housing and support services. RICAODD is a Phoenix House Program.
The Rhode Island Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependence, is a voluntary, 501 © (3) non-profit association whose mission is to reduce the incidence and prevalence of the disease of alcoholism and other drug dependence diseases, as well as related problems.
Recovery Housing Program
Rhode Island Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Dependence offers recovery housing in several homes in Cranston, East Providence and Pawtucket. All houses are located in safe residential neighborhoods within walking distance of public transportation.
Individuals help themselves by helping each other to abstain from substances one day at a time. Overseen y our Housing Coordinator and the Director of Community Housing, the program fosters personal responsibility, restores self-esteem and self-confidence, and eliminates isolation by creating a community atmosphere. Support and crisis assistance from RICAODD is available 24-7 to our residents.
