ADAC is a public, non-profit agency dedicated to the prevention of alcohol and other drug abuse in Delaware County. Its mission statement concludes: "We envision a future in which individuals have chosen to live free from the harm of substance abuse."

In general, ADAC’s responsibilities include prevention, education, information, intervention, referral, and advocacy. More specifically, it provides prevention education programs for the county’s schools, teaches the Drinking Driver Rehabilitation Program, provides drug-free workplace programs for businesses, conducts interventions and publishes a quarterly newsletter for its members.

Mission

The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council of Delaware County, Inc. (ADAC) is dedicated to the prevention of alcohol & substance abuse by providing education, information, & referral services.

The Council will vigorously advocate for change in individuals, families, and communities resulting in healthy positive choices.
