Atlantic Prevention Resources (APR) is a non-profit organization that provides a variety of addiction services including education, prevention intervention, evaluation, counseling, and referrals to people with substance abuse problems, as well as help and information for friends and family members.
APR is committed to providing the highest quality of service by using evidence-based practices and regularly measuring and improving performance outcomes. We support the empowerment of all persons with behavioral health issues, and believe that all clients, employees and stakeholders must be treated with dignity and respect. We practice diversity and cultural competence in all activities and partnerships. We believe that addiction to alcohol and other drugs is a disease that is both preventable and treatable and that recovery is possible and sustainable.
Founded in 1985, Atlantic Prevention Resources (APR) is a non-profit agency dedicated to preventing the harm caused by substance abuse and violence. APR is a member of the New Jersey Prevention Network, a partner agency of the United Way of Atlantic County and the local affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Governed by a volunteer board, APR is funded by government and foundation grants, contracts, as well as by corporate and individual donations. APR's mission is to reduce the harm caused by substance abuse and violence, through prevention, education, treatment and advocacy.
