Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center

Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center, a private, non-profit organization founded in 1958, provides an array of science-based prevention and education services, is recognized by the State of North Carolina for excellence, and offers a full continuum of assessment, pre-treatment and outpatient treatment services. Anuvia is also home to the only Latino Services Division in the region, offering cultural- and language-appropriate education, assessment and treatment.

Services

Detox Services

The Anuvia Social Setting Detoxification program provides services 24/7/365 days per year to clients ages 18 and up.  

Inpatient Services

Anuvia has 32 beds designated to provide substance abuse treatment 24/7/365 for individuals dealing with a substance abuse disorder. A team of licensed and credentialed professionals provides information using an Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) approach.

Assessment Services

Anuvia is one of the area’s leading providers of adult substance abuse assessment services designed to diagnose and refer those with a substance abuse problem to the help they need.

Anuvia Court Services

Anuvia Court Services Programs specialize in court-related charges pertaining to Driving While Impaired (DWI) and other alcohol and drug related court issues that affect the general population.

Post Judgment Services Center

Anuvia acts as a liaison at the Post Judgment Services Center, 26th Judicial District. There is Anuvia Staff operating in the County Court House that processes, refers and monitors DWI offenders sent for an assessment as part of their conviction.

County DWI Tracking

Anuvia tracks and alerts those convicted of DWI.  Monthly reports are sent to the court concerning offenders who have not complied with their conviction requirement.

Out of State Transfers / DWI Case Management

Anuvia provides interstate transfer services with appropriate documentation on DWI cases in and out of Charlotte-Mecklenburg to other counties and States.

Liaison for Providers

Anuvia acts as a liaison for 40 Agencies in Charlotte-Mecklenburg that provide DWI assessments.

Treatment

Anuvia is a leading provider of compassionate treatment services of the highest quality designed to impact the disease of addiction. Anuvia is CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited and an affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Anuvia offers a wide range of treatment services with flexible schedules, sliding fees and payment plans. All programs (excluding ADETS) administer breathalyzers daily and conduct random drug testing of participants.

  • All programs meet NC State requirements for providing DWI treatment and education services.
  • Clients who have had an assessment elsewhere can complete a screening and can usually start treatment services on the next treatment day.
  • Employers may refer employees to Anuvia for alcohol/drug urine screening.
  • Individual counseling sessions are available to complement the treatment process.
  • Other Anuvia services include Education and Prevention Services, Court Services; Drug Court related treatment, and Community Support.
