By bringing together local educators, substance abuse professionals, law enforcement administrators, and business leaders, we coordinate activities, provide information, and organize public awareness campaigns to steer youths and adults away from harmful substances.
Since 2002, our coalition has coordinated Palm Beach County's efforts to keep our communities healthy, safe and drug-free.
We have been around for more than 30 years worked with dozens of our partners in the fields of drug and alcohol prevention, intervention and treatment.
Together, the Coalition in conjunction with law enforcement administrators, lawmakers, teachers, business owners, and many other community leaders have changing laws, policies, attitudes and behaviors toward underage drinking and abusing new and traditional drugs.
Formed in 1982, the Coalition has evolved and adapted to our community’s changing needs in the fight against the spread of alcohol and drugs. We’ve started task forces, kicked off campaigns, and organized events to address the most dangerous substances facing our youths and adults.
Today, we are proud to be a 501 (c)(3) run by a dedicated staff and diverse group of board members and task force volunteers representing all interests in keeping drug away from the places we work, live and play.
It’s no surprise that communities without a Coalition like ours are the places where drugs run rampant and government support for prevention is weak.
Uniting Palm Beach County by strengthening children, families and neighborhoods in their resolve to reduce and prevent alcohol and drug use, creating a drug-free community.
Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition was created to give parents and youth the tools to live drug- and smoke-free. By bringing together teens, parents, educators, business owners and many other partners, we coordinate activities, provide information, and organize public awareness campaigns to steer youths and adults away from harmful substances.
We encourage you to take an active role in shaping the future of the fight against drug abuse in Palm Beach County by joining one of our task forces, attending our events, and sponsoring our initiatives.
