As an advocate in helping to keep Waukesha County Residents safe from alcohol and drug addiction, Addiction Resource Council (ARC) and The Waukesha County Drug Free Communities (DFC) Coalition have joined forces to help our community and provide Waukesha County residents with the necessary information and education to fight the rising alcohol and drug epidemics we face in our community. The Waukesha County Drug Free Communities (DFC) Coalition has two main goals. First: Establish and strengthen collaboration among communities, private nonprofit agencies and Federal, State and local governments to support the efforts of community coalitions to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth. Second: Reduce substance abuse among youth and, over time, among adults by addressing the factors in a community that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.
The Addiction Resource Council is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality programming and support for those Waukesha County residents and their families struggling with substance abuse, addiction and alcoholism. We accomplish our mission by providing information, education, assessment and referral services, sponsoring or co-sponsoring community events, providing leadership and direction in collaboration with other Waukesha community-based organizations, institutions and providers of care to improve the overall health and well-being of our community.
