CARA - Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2015, S. 524/H.R. 953
Earlier this year, the Comprehensive Addiction Recovery Act (CARA) of 2015 was reintroduced in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. The bills are identical and would provide resources and offer incentives to state and local communities to expand drug treatment, prevention and recovery efforts. If enacted, the bill would:

The House bill (H.R. 953) was introduced by Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and has eight cosponsors; it has been referred to the House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations
