The Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) Program at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has completed an evidence review on Medication-Assisted Treatment Models of Care for Opioid Use Disorder in Primary Care Settings. The final report has now been posted and you can read it here . The purpose of the review is to describe MAT models of care in primary care settings, describe barriers to MAT implementation, summarize the evidence and identify gaps in the evidence base, and guide future research. The final report describes the findings from the systematic review. AHRQ is a government agency tasked with producing evidence to improve the quality of healthcare while working with partners to ensure that the evidence is understood and used.
