Mission Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse for Greater New Orleans (CADA) is a community health agency, which was founded in 1960, that provides substance abuse prevention, education, and assessment services in both English and Spanish, for youth and adults in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. Bernard, St. John, and St. Tammany parishes. Mission: NCADD-RA provides both research-based and evidence-based substance abuse and problem gambling prevention services to a diverse population through education, support, resources, advocacy and referral. Staff work to positively influence the social norms which perpetuate the use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs, and problem gambling. NCADD-RA staff provide community education and awareness presentations on a variety of addiction-related topics tailored to requesting school or community groups. NCADD-RA also provides a wide array of training opportunities for professionals in the addictions, education, and health and human services community. ABOUT CAPE: The Council on Addiction Prevention and Education of Dutchess County, Inc. (CAPE), (formerly the Dutchess County Council on Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency, Inc.), was founded in 1987. The Council was established to meet the growing need for Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) prevention and education services in Dutchess County.
