IMPACT is committed to changing lives, for good. Our family of services helps restore the health and productivity of individuals, organizations and workplaces leading to an improved quality of life for our entire community. IMPACT is the largest provider of alcohol and drug screening, assessment and referral services in Wisconsin.
Counseling and Referral
MPACT's certified counselors and other alcohol and drug abuse professionals are available by phone to talk through your situation. They help identify if a substance abuse problem exists; assess the severity; assemble a plan of action; and connect you with appropriate resources.
Alcohol and Drug Assessment
* Operating While Intoxicated [OWI]
Milwaukee County residents convicted of OWI are required to obtain an assessment as part of the process to regain their driver's license.
* Other Court-Ordered Assessments
IMPACT provides alcohol and drug assessments for other violations including reckless driving; possession; underage consumption; and disorderly conduct; as well as cases involving domestic violence and child custody disputes.
* Professional Licensing Boards
Nurses and other medical professionals are occasionally referred to IMPACT for an alcohol and drug assessment.
* Substance Abuse Professional [SAP]
Safety-sensitive employees in the transportation industry, including Commercial Driver's License holders, who engage in prohibited conduct cannot return to work until they are evaluated by a Substance Abuse Professional [SAP] and complete a recommendation process.
We make every effort to ensure that our clients experience a smooth process. An online form is available for Treatment Providers to facilitate case management of an Intoxicated Driver who has been referred for treatment as part of their Driver Safety Plan. Probation and Parole Agents can access the client referral form online when an offender is in need of an alcohol and drug assessment.
IMPACT's Stop Drinking [SO MUCH] Wisconsin campaign targets people of legal drinking age who drink in ways or at times that pose significant risk to their health, employment and safety; and have other personal and social consequences.
