BRiDGES Collaborates with Public Health Department


Public health detailing is an effective method of reaching health care providers to deliver key prevention messages.

The Madison County Health Department and BRiDGES, Madison County Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Inc. teamed with the local health department up to conduct office-to-office outreach to Madison County primary care providers and dentists on opioids.

Bridges 2In addition, the members of the Opiate Task Force contributed to a report which was distributed to the community and posted to the county’s web site. A brief presentation was given by members of the task force, including Undersheriff John Ball, pictured above; Eric Faisst, Director of the Public Health Department; Teisha Cook, Director of the Mental Health Department; and Susan Jenkins, Director of BRiDGES, to members of our county Board of Supervisors, county employees and non-profit leadership.
